Danielle

Great news from Danielle!

It has been almost three weeks since Danielle found her adoptive home. She has adapted so very well to her new surroundings!

After a few short days of apprehension and hiding out in the safe haven of her basement bedroom, Danielle is now very active roaming to every corner of the house discovering and inspecting every nick and cranny. Even though she thouroughly enjoys the company of her people and our other house cat... a friendly relationship is developing... she still retreats for her mid-afternoon nap to her special pillow bed in the basement.

How Danielle enjoys attention! She thrives on petting, holding, loving! What a wonderful girl she is!

We are happy to be able to give her the comfy life she deserves, too!

Tiggy

We adopted Tiggy two weeks after my cat Midnight of 13 years passed away. I just knew a house wasn't a home without the pitter patter of four little paws..so we stopped by the Copper Country Humane Society on Saturday afternoon and low and behold there he was...furry, bright eyed and playful! It didn't take long to fall in love with Tiggy :) We took him home and he has adjusted so well it is like he has always lived here with us! Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Tiggy, he has brought us great JOY!

Hi!

We adopted two cats from you in the end of last year - formerly known as Patsy and Ming, nowadays Vinkel and Mittemot. They are doing great and are such a delight to us every single day. They really like each other, not to mention us humans, and they are keen to participate into
everything we do. I mean everything! When my boyfriend is coding, Mitte purrs loudly in his lap an tries to tap the keyboard with his paws. When I'm drawing, Vinkel climbs on the table and sets herself lying in the middle of my paper... and so on! :D I have even taught Vinkel a couple of tricks: she can beg, give a high five and jump through a loop. How about that!? She's the smart kitty. Mitte is big,
handsome and totally lovable - but unfortunately not as bright ;) Maybe he didn't make it in time for that line where smarts was given, for he was taking an extra portion of chilling.

They are adorable, we have not had a single problem with them. Most well behaved cats I've ever seen - we haven't had a single bite or scratch or anything during these months! And we have been forced to give them de-worming pills and stuff, and you guys know how hard that can be! Even then, no aggression at all, even if it would be totally understandable. (We have been volunteers at a Humane Society in Finland, and had all kinds of abandoned cats in our household before they were okay enough to get a permanent home, so we have a pretty good perspective regarding cat behavior :) )

Thank you so much for trusting us with these amazing pets! We have been making preparations since last year, and in a couple of months we will be taking the cats with us to Finland. We are already practicing using the pet carrier for several hours at a time, and the little furballs are doing great at it. We have been joking with my boyfriend that these fellows are the best souvenir ever - no need to dust them! On the contrary, they dust everything else!

I will leave you with a picture of the two :)

All the best,

Hanna

Luna (aka Hail)

My family said that they came to the shelter to get a different cat but fell in love with me instead. I did not want to leave my friends at the shelter but I went with them because they seemed very nice. The car ride to their house was kinda scary but my mom helped me get through it. The first night I was very scared and ran and hide under the couch. My family waited patiently but I never came out so my mom very carefully got me out from under the couch and brought me upstairs to a warm bedroom. She brought the rest of my things up to that bedroom also. My family changed my name to Luna because they thought that I am not rough and tough as hail. I mostly come out at night or later on in the day so they named me Luna, it is italian for moon. After a few weeks I started to get used to the upstairs but I am still afraid of the downstairs, my mommy is working with me on that. On March 30th I was brought to the vets to get my front claws declawed so my family could keep me. I
am still recovering and am doing well but my paws hurt alittle still and I have to take medicine that the vet wanted me to take for the pain. I feels weird without front claws but I am getting used to it. I love my my forever family. In two of one picture I am laying down on my aunty's bed that I messed up. In another picture I am sitting in my mom's room watching the guinea pigs run around in their cage. The NEXT picture was taken on my favorite night. I was up at night walking around like I always do and I heard a noise, it came from my mom's room, I quick turned around. I looked into my mom's room slowly and there I saw my mom standing there with a camera in her hands. Before I knew it... snap she took a picture of me, and then she came over to me and picked me up off the floor and hugged me closely.
